Philip Shepherd KC features in The Lawyer’s top 20 cases for 2023
Philip was instructed by Pinsent Masons on behalf of Qatar Airways in a claim brought against Airbus involving contracts relating to the supply of defective A350’s, experiencing rapid degradation of the outer layers of the aircraft.
The case concerned the defective design and manufacture of the A350 aircraft, future deliveries, and the termination of contracts for the supply of future aircraft.
Philip was the lead counsel of a team that included Stuart Catchpole KC (Atkin Chambers), Jasbir Dhillon KC (Brick Court Chambers), Geraint Webb KC, Kathleen Donnelly KC, Celia Oldham, Harrison Denner (all from Henderson Chambers), Bajul Shah (XXIV Old Buildings) and Giles Robertson (Fountain Court).
Airbus instructed Clifford Chance
The trial was due to commence on 12th June 2023, but settled in February of the same year.
