Philip has been instructed as leading counsel in most of the significant cases relating to operating and finance leases of aircraft in the last 20 years including the seminal decision on allocation of risk in ACG Acquisition v Olympic Airlines.

He advises and represents lessors and lessees in both contentious and non-contentious matters. Most recently he acted for Genesis in the latest claim against Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet relating to end of lease return conditions and the rights of the lessor to certify amounts due.
