As youd expect, these are perfectly functional, and they do the job well, but dealing with lots of different damaged Pokemon, or damage thats really built up across your Active or Benched cards can be a real pain, given that the cardboard tokens only have a few denominations
If Shards you control do become copies of the creature, they'll use the copiable values of the creature as it last existed on the battlefield
Access to 6 of MTGs most iconic spells is incredibly powerful, and while only Braingeyser and Regrowth see consistent play in the format (though Black Lotus absolutely would if it was legal), Terror, Disenchant, and Shivan Dragon can all still be very handy
Despite attacking every turn with your rats, youre not looking to win via combat damage
