My initial thought was that youd put nine of these in just about any creature-heavy deck with black in it, but unfortunately they seem to be much rarer than other uncommons, and even at the end of release weekend, buying nine of these will set you back almost $90
This popular Commander finisher is a great dump for all that extra mana, and you can use Corrupt, Crypt Rats, and Consume Spirit in mono-black decks just as well
Thats useful in and of itself, and while we went out of our way not to include the Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood combo (you should have them both in your deck), having one of those effects on a Creature is useful
This combination allows players to maintain board pressure while responding effectively to opponents moves
"Why should I buy cards that are illegal in every format?" "Very nice proxies!" This reputation stick around for a while, and you could still get a box of CE/IE for around $100 in the early 2000s
